In June. and Aug., Muse for Life will be offering month long songwriting and performing workshops for all ages. Classes will meet twice weekly.
Each attendee will learn various songwriting forms, lyric techniques, arrangement ideas, content ideas, & the ins & outs of copywriting and music publishing. Various songwriters & song forms through multiple time periods will be analyzed.
Each student will be required to write at least two of their own songs during the duration of the workshop. At the end of the workshop each of the attendees will professionally record a finished copy of their songs.
Although helpful, it is not a requirement that attendees be proficient on an instrument. The basics of reading and writing will be outlined in reference to the piano keyboard within the first day of the workshop. Also, instructors will step in as studio musicians if needed in order to record attendee’s original songs.
Students who have already written songs may bring in these

songs for development &/or critique. A maximum of two pre-written songs may be recorded in conjunction with the 2 new original songs which will be recorded.
The hours of the workshops will be Monday & Thursday 6:00-8:00pm.
